The Mindful Medics 6 week in-person course is an evidence-based wellbeing program that has been designed specifically with the unique wellbeing demands and time restrictions placed on healthcare providers in mind.

Delivered over 6 weeks, Mindful Medics provides healthcare providers with an in-depth understanding of the mechanics of stress, and equips them with a toolkit of Mind Training skills that can be easily implemented into their busy schedules. With a spotlight on key wellbeing issues relevant to working in healthcare, such as burnout and empathy fatigue, Mindful Medics aims to not only enhance healthcare provider wellbeing, but also improve patient outcomes.

The program includes 6 modules delivered through one hour sessions over the course of 6 weeks onsite at your healthcare facility.

PERSONALISED WELLBEINGÂ REPORT
At the start of the program, participants will receive access to an anonymous online survey to complete to assess their current levels of stress and burnout. This survey will be redistributed four weeks after completion of the program and a formal report with our findings will be sent to your workplace.
MUSE MEDITATION HEADBAND HIRE
We also offer hire of Muse headbands to introduce participants to the science of Mind Training. Muse is a research-grade EEG device that senses brain activity during meditation and translates the brain waves into guiding sounds to help you stay calm and focused. Brain activity can then be reviewed via a free app.
REFRESHMENTS
Morning tea, lunch, or afternoon tea will be included in program sessions depending on time of day. With a focus on fresh whole foods, we cater to all dietary requirements and offer a variety of healthy options for your workplace to choose from.

Introduction
In this first module, you will be introduced to the key foundational concepts behind Mind Training along with some of the leading research into the practices, tools and techniques that are incorporated throughout the following modules.
We will delve into the what, the how and the why of Mind Training, and expel a few misconceptions behind these scientifically proven and evidence based practices and techniques. We will also uncover a few hard truths behind the critical need for the program, not only for personal wellbeing but also for the wellbeing of your patients.

Module 1: Fit Minds
In this module, we will discuss why the brain matters for your own personal health and wellbeing, and how training the mind fits into and supports wellbeing in the healthcare provider and patient equation.

neuroplasticity and how you can use Mind Training to be the architect of your brain
the link between a wandering mind and happiness and its impact on your overall sense of wellbeing
the real impact of multi-tasking and running on auto-pilot on patient outcomes
the clinical benefits of Mind Training practices for healthcare
the application of Mind Training to cultivate and foster the skills of attention and awareness
the integral role that perception and mindset play in the mind-body connection.
Module 2: Opt-Out of the Stress Effect
This module examines the physiology of stress and how stress effects the brain and body. We explore the profound and detrimental role that chronic stress can have on personal and professional outcomes, and introduce and discuss Mind Training strategies to counteract the stress response.

the link between excessive and chronic stress and personal and professional life, including poor health outcomes and burnout

the science of epigenetics and the power of mind training to reverse ageing - from the inside out.
Module 3: The Compassion Cure and Mindful Communication
This module addresses two vital components in the healthcare equation - the two 'C's'. We will discuss the important distinction between empathy and compassion and the implications for burnout, along with examining the crucial role that self-compassion has in determining your ability to provide compassionate care for your patients.
This module will also discuss the intrinsic and important component that communication plays in your role as a healthcare provider, for both interactions and conversations with co-workers and your patients' outcomes.

Module 4: Upsize your Emotional Intelligence
A different way of looking at intelligence, this module examines the vital role that emotional intelligence plays in supporting overall personal wellbeing and the integral role it plays in the professional healthcare setting.
This module will also explore the role of Mind Training for emotional intelligence, including the importance of awareness, in delivering high quality healthcare.

Module 5: Designing Your Mindful Life
This module will explore the concept of mindfulness in lifestyle choices, including mindful eating, mindful movement and sleep hygiene. We will examine their effect and impact on overall personal wellbeing and how to mindfully incorporate positive change.
To wrap up all the key and fundamental concepts and components of the program, this module also incorporates the science
of behaviour change, habit forming and motivational systems to enable lifestyle changes and support the integration of Mind Training into everyday life.
